I have 3 dogs living next door that cross their yard, come into my yard and all the way to my driveway and the door of my car everytime I return home. They do the same whenever we leave our front door to get into our car and my children are petrified with fear and scream and cry. We cannot play in our own yard! Animal Control officers say there is no leash law so they can do nothing. I am planning to use pepper spray on these dogs to protect my children so they can walk outside of their own home in peace.

The tought never crossed my mind but, this morning, my partner and I learned to always take our dogs’ collars off when they are left at home alone. We own two medium-sized dogs (collie mixes) and, as we got ready for work this morning, we heard a lot of yelping coming from our living room. They are still young and rough-play quite a bit with one another but this was different. As we came toward them, we were horrified to find that one of the dogs’ lower jaw had slipped into the other’s collar and had, somehow, twisted herself around. The other dog was choking. My partner and I managed to turn the twisted dogs body around in order to release her from the other’s collar. Both dogs are fine but I don’t dare to think about what may have happened if we had not been home. I do not often share on blogs but promised myself, as I drove to work, that I should share our experience.
