Dog Rescue in Edinburgh

Firefighters in Edinburgh, Scotland, preformed two dramatic animal rescues in the span of three hours.

The first rescue was a dog named Gypsy, who had fallen down a steep embankment while on a walk with her owner in Spylaw Park. At 15 years old, Gypsy was unable to help herself up the muddy and slippery 20 ft wall. Rescuers secured themselves to lines and harnesses, and slowly dropped down to Gypsy’s level. Thankfully she was wearing her dog harness, which the firefighters were able to clip to a rescue line, and pull the dog to safety, and back into the arms of her frightened owner.

Not three hours later, the same firefighters, rescued a scared that was caught underneath a walkway on Rennies Isle.
