High Jump Champion Banned

A Kelpie named Riley is the dog high jumping champion of the world, but he may be just too good.

Riley has won 28 of the 30 high jumping competitions that he has competed in, and holds a world record of 2.91 meters, for the highest jump from a standing point. Just as Riley was preparing for the breed specific Kelpie jumping competition, his owner Clare received the news that he was not allowed to compete. The organizers believe that in order to keep the event fresh, they would like to see another dog win. Clare understands that the other dogs don’t stand a chance against Riley’s amazing talent, but would like organizers to remember that he is getting older after all. It is inevitable that a younger dog will be able to beat Riley one day, so for now, Clare would like him to continue doing what he loves to do.

The organizers would like to make amends by introducing and inducting Riley into a Kelpie hall of fame.
