When your four legged companion goes missing, the first thing to do is enlist the help of a pet detective. What’s unusual about the hottest new pet detectives in Baltimore, is that they are pets themselves.

Chewy is a four year old German Shepherd, and Buddy is a 6 year old Bassett Hound. Both dogs use their excellent sense of smell and determination to find missing dogs and cats in the Baltimore area. Laura Totis has been a pet detective for years, and it didn’t take her long to realize that her own beloved dogs lead her to the best clues. Chewy and Buddy smell the missing animals’ belongings, such as their harness or chew toys, then search the neighbourhood to find the matching owner. Laura claims they are responsible for finding several pets a week, and they are almost always successful.

The detective team is generally asked to find dogs and cats, but they have been responsible for finding pets as unusual as a llama, a ferret, and even a skunk.
