Pooches N’ Puddles Dog Splash

This weekend, the annual Pooches N’ Puddles Dog Splash charity event will take place in dog parks around the world.

The event began in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, several years ago in order to raise money for abused or abandoned dogs and cats in the city. The event was a hit, and has been adopted by dog loving communities worldwide. The event is named as such because the theme is water fun. The Oshawa dog park where the event originated is fortunate enough to be located on Lake Ontario. Other cities have compensated by providing wading pools, sprinklers and even bubble baths. Many dogs and their owners arrive armed with water guns and swimsuits. There’s also plenty of cold drinks and BBQ.

The events generally cost $10 Canadian and proceeds go to local animal shelters and rescue organizations.
