Take Your Dog to Work Day

This Friday, June 20, marks the 10^th anniversary of the successful Pet Sitters International “Take Your Dog to Work Day.”

Although Friday is the official day to bring your canine companion along with you to work, the entire week is an international phenomenon to raise awareness about pet adoption. Take Your Dog to Work Day, encourages employers to experience the importance and value that dogs bring to human life, which includes the workplace. The event also encourages dog adoption through a fun, positive and practical way, allowing businesses to make a difference. If your workplace will not allow Take Your Dog to Work Day, there are other ways you can get involved. Have employees bring in pictures of their dogs, or host a fundraiser at your workplace for local pet shelters.
