Missing Dog Found

A mixed breed dog named Chrissy was taken from her home in North Carolina nearly eighteen months ago, and has finally been found.

Chrissy disappeared one night in early 2007 to the devastation of her loving owners. They claimed that Chrissy was not the type of dog to run away, and that the only possible scenario was that someone had dognapped her. Sure enough, the dog was dropped on a doorstop in Ohio, nearly 650 miles away, several days after she went missing. The woman who found Chrissy took her in immediately and because Chrissy was not wearing a collar, the woman advertised all over the neighbourhood that a dog had been found. It wasn’t until last week, however, that the North Carolina Sheriff’s Department received anonymous tips leading them to the missing dog, now residing in Ohio.

Chrissy has been returned to her original owners, and the Sheriff’s Department has no plans to charge the woman who has been taking care of her all this time.
