Vancouver Dog Squad Anniversary
The Vancouver Police Dog Squad in BC, Canada will mark its 50th anniversary this weekend with a celebration open to the public.
People will have the chance to meet police dogs and watch demonstrations as a part of the celebration downtown this Saturday. Veteran officer, Ron Ginter, will be attending the event, recalling his memories of signing up as one of the original members of the dog squad. Ginter remembered how his first dog, King, loved to search homes and would bounce around waiting for him to unclip the leash.
Admission to the 50th anniversary party is free and German Shepherd puppies will also be on hand to entertain the crowds.
